Today’s Treat: Nokia N78 Cell Phone Manual

There’s nothing better than starting a Monday morning with Nokia N78 manual. This is a handset which I’d love to get my hands on. If you want to get the PDF manual, use this URL. Interestingly, the manual, currently at “Issue 1”, doesn’t mention the much coveted FM transmitter at all. Also, it indicates that the Nokia N78 speakers are located on each side of the device.

Well that is true. The speakers are located on either side of the device. Top Right and Bottom Left.

I wish they were located on the topmost sides of the handset like those of the N95 or N81. What you describe is similar to Nokia 5700, with the exception that the 5700 is a twist handset and the speakers can be pushed to one side of the phone which would create something resembling the N82.

It’s funny how the original feature of a cell phone, making and reciving calls, is mentioned so far into the manual. We truly have reached the age where people say

“This little device is so niffty with its camera, gps, music and video player, and Oh My God it can make phone calls as well.”

But seriously i wish this phone was out already, i cant wait to get it.

Nice observation, Michael. This is typical of almost all high-end Nokia handsets. In particular, Nokia tends to call the Nseries cell phones “multimedia computers.” I guess you should wait a couple more months to get the N78.

Yea, a couple of long months…

Hey, does when it says the phone will be released in Q2 2008, is that any time in the next three months?

Yes, it’ll reach consumers in the next three months. My guess is that you’ll see the N78 before June, though.
